Four Florida Gators achieved NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced Tuesday (Oct. 10) afternoon that four Gators from the Florida softball program achieved NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for their efforts during the 2016-17 academic year.

Kayli Kvistad, Janell Wheaton, Kelly Barnhill and Katie Chronister were among 1,843 Division I student-athletes to earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher. NCAA Division I led all other divisions for the number of student-athletes recognized.
