Brittany Rodriguez and Brittany Holland join Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns

After the recent transfers out of several key players the Ragin’ Cajuns add two new players to their team roster.

Brittany Rodriguez will be joining the Ragin’ Cajuns for the 2018 Season. She is a three-time first team all-conference player who transferred from Lamar where she hit .380-plus and was a first team All-Southland Conference selection each of the past two seasons. Rodriguez is an outfielder and this will be her senior season.

“I am very familiar with type of athlete Brittany is having watched her play in travel ball and at Galveston College and Lamar while I was at Texas A&M,” new Ragin’ Cajuns head coach Gerry Glasco says continuing on, “She will bring swagger and talent to our team on both offense and defense with her speed, intensity and athleticism.”

Also added to the Ragin’ Cajuns’ roster is All-American junior college infielder Brittany Holland of Central Arizona College. Holland was a NJCAA first team All-American during the 2017 season leading Central Arizona with a .471 batting average, 15 home runs and 81 RBI. She transfers to the team as a sophomore with three years of eligibility remaining.

“Brittany brings us an athlete with an extremely high ceiling due to her tremendous size and talent,” head coach Glasco said. “She excels on both sides of the ball, both offensively and defensively.”

The 2018 season marks the first for head coach Gerry Glasco, formerly the associate head coach at Auburn, Texas A&M and Georgia, who was named the fourth head coach of the Ragin’ Cajuns on Nov. 20, 2017.

Season tickets, beginning at $101 for outfield seating, are currently on sale and can be purchased by phone at (337) 265-2357, online at RaginCajuns.com using Account Manager, or by visiting the Cajundome Box Office.
