“Being a mother and getting to know the ends of my patience and understanding the importance of modeling good behavior has brought me to some messy and creative places,” Ana told UPROXX who originally premiered the track.

“Encouraging my daughter to experience her feelings when they come up so that she’s not afraid of them makes me, necessarily, need to practice the same thing. I think it’s true what they say about our fear of a feeling being much worse than the feeling itself. When I’m really feeling something I know who I am and I am in the moment. I am alive. Why not dance through it together?”

Folk Alley featured the album as a Hear It First saying “The arrangements behind her create the kinds of nuanced contours that support her simple, careful melodies and the artful way she sings, without overpowering or under-highlighting them.”

Elmore Magazine reviewed the record saying “Egge has assembled a fine band and written a bunch of songs that linger in the memory long after the end of the disc. A bit of an unsung delight, this is an album to savour. It’s music that speaks to the heart and soul.”

Produced by Alec Spiegelman (Cuddle Magic), White Tiger features singer Anais Mitchell, guitarist Buck Meek (Big Thief), drummer Robin MacMillan (Aoife O’Donovan), bassist Jacob Silver (Amy Helm), and violist Adam Moss (The Brother Brothers). Particularly touching is Ana’s live trio version of John Hartford’s “In Tall Buildings” with singer/guitarist Billy Strings and violinist Alex Hargreaves.

Ana will play a number of shows throughout the summer and fall in support of the record, including a string of dates opening for Iris DeMent. Full list of tour dates below.
