I was shopping around Pyramyd Air’s site looking for a plinking pistol and decided on the Diana Chaser. It’s a CO2
bolt-action air pistol that I purchased in the .177 caliber. The pistol also comes in a 22 version.
Some of the features that brought me to the decision to purchase this particular model was the fact that you can
change it from a single shot by removing the single-shot tray that comes with it and replacing it with a Diana Stormrider magazine (doesn’t come with the gun and sells for around $20.) that turns it in to a 9-shot repeater.
It also has plenty of power for a pistol with up to 525 fps in the .177 version for getting your pellets down range using a 12 gram CO2 cartridge. There is also room to store an extra cartridge in the pistol’s grip if your looking to do a lot of shooting. Each cartridge will give you approximately 50 good shots.
The Diana Chaser has a fixed front blade sight and an adjustable for windage & elevation rear sight. If you want to upgrade to a scope it also has an 11 mm Dovetail rail to mount one.
The pistol weighs in at only 1.9 lbs so its easy to hold and shoot all day with.
Another thing that drew me to this gun was the fact that while it has enough power with its 5ft/lbs of muzzle energy to be a good outdoors plinking pistol when the weather turns too cold outside for CO2 to work properly you can head inside to your indoor range and continue your target shooting fun.
What is all this fun times gonna cost you? I got the pistol for $69.99 and then spent around another $45. on CO2
cartridges and the 9-shot magazine. If you don’t already own some don’t forget to buy some Pellgun oil and add a drop on the tip of the CO2 cartridge every time you change to a new one.
So if your in the market for a nice low priced plinking/ target shooting gun then you should checkout the Diana Chaser pistol.
