KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI – Warriors’ Ascent, a Kansas-City based non-profit organization, dedicated to saving lives of veterans and first responders who struggle with post-traumatic stress (PTS), is pleased to partner with national recording artist, Barnaby Bright, on the release of their new single “This Is Life.” Proceeds from the sales/downloads/streams of the single will be donated to Warriors’ Ascent.
“This Is Life” is the first release from the forthcoming 2019 album Barnaby Bright. The song, written by Barnaby Bright member and Kansas Citian, Nathan Bliss, was inspired after witnessing the plight and treatment of so many of our veterans in the United States and around the world who struggle with post-traumatic stress. According to Barnaby
Bright, “We hope the song entertains while stimulating debate and bringing attention to the issues surrounding PTS. We are excited to be able to donate song proceeds to Warriors’ Ascent who is doing fantastic work in helping courageous men and women whose war often does not end on the battlefield.”

Warriors’ Ascent is a Kansas City-based 501c3 Veteran service organization committed to providing training to our nation’s active duty military members, veterans, and first responders suffering from PTSD. Using evidence-based holistic healing methods, the organization provides a five-day retreat where participants begin their journey to healing the mind, body, and soul.
Proceeds from “This is Life” will be donated to Warriors’ Ascent from all sales/downloads through March 14, 2019 via ITunes, Amazon and other e-tailers or streams on Spotify, Amazon, Apple Music, Deezer et al.
Barnaby Bright Bio:
Both classically-trained, Nathan and Becky Bliss have made some cool Americana records, lived in Brooklyn, Nashville and are currently based in Kansas City. They have toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe. Their song “Don’t Look Down” was the Grand Prize winner in SongCircle’s annual songwriting contest. They have been named one of Amazon’s Top 100 albums of the year, played Lincoln Center and NPR’s Mountain Stage and have opened for acts including Norah Jones and the Lumineers.
