For Immediate Release
Awarded Best Country Act at the WA Music Awards in 2018.
WA’s award-winning indie/ folk/ country outfit, The Little Lord Street Band, have just released their new single, ‘Frankie’s Back In Town’ (released June 7).
This good-vibing, celebratory track has already received massive support, debuting at #2 on the AMRAP Metro charts and #5 on the Regional Charts, play on Triple J and Double J.
Now, the band are pairing the single with the perfectly fitting, nostalgia-filled and fun-loving music video pieced together by cinemaphotographer David Le May (who has worked with a slew of WA artists) and edited by Elaine Smith.
Exploring the South West region in WA, Nannup is showcased with old-school super-8 footage to tell a story of childhood friends who spent their summer days by Barrabup Pool and Blackwood River. Although life takes people in separate directions, these childhood friends all come back together – just like the good old days – with the return of their mate, Frankie.
With the friends back together, the town celebrates at Nannup Hotel (filmed during the Nannup Festival) where The Little Lord Street Band takes to the stage and spread the love to give it up for their favourite girl.
The charm of this clip comes from the festival footage, where the beautiful folks who make up the community are captured celebrating life-long relationships with big hugs, smiling faces and spreading their contagious joy.
Ultimately, this music video is just another example of the kind-hearted, fun-loving attitude that The Little Lord Street Band put out into the world.
The Little Lord Street Band are launching this new single at The Bassendean Hotel on the 28th of June, followed by 16 more – just announced – duo and full-band shows throughout the month of July along the West-coast.
