Look for a New EP coming digitally everywhere soon!

Song explanation- Our new song “Stars in the Morning” is about the comfort we have knowing that God is in control even when we can’t see his plan. The stars are still in the sky even in the morning when we are unable to view them. God is always working in our lives and will reveal his plan in His perfect timing.

The Lasting Hope is a band from southern Indiana with a desire to reach this generation with the Gospel through not only their music, but their lives. The Lasting Hope was formed in 2010 by Logan Oakes (Lead Vocals/Guitar) and Craig Banister (Guitar).

The band started leading worship at local churches that year which provided valuable experience. For the next few years, The Lasting Hope would continue to progress and continue to spread their ministry. The band later added Tanner Marling on bass and Braxton Comer on drums.

In 2013 the band headed into the studio with Mark Lee Townsend (former guitarist of DC Talk, Producer for Relient K, Owl City, House of Heroes, The Wedding, and more). The Lasting Hope released their first single in October of 2013. The band released their first EP in 2014 titled ‘Sunsets & Second Chances’. This EP featured two singles, “Something New” and “Lifeline.” Both songs found their way onto the Billboard Christian Rock Radio Airplay chart. “Something New” peaked at #5 in September of 2014 and “Lifeline” reached #20 in April of 2015.

The band played over 60 shows in 2014 throughout the midwest, where they developed their engaging and high energy stage show. In 2015, the band entered the studio once again with Mark Lee Townsend to work on new material. The band picked up their touring schedule heavily in 2015 playing nearly 100 shows (booked solely by lead singer Logan Oakes) across the country.

The Lasting Hope has had the opportunity to open for artists such as, Toby Mac, Mandisa, Ryan Stevenson, 7eventh Time Down, Hawk Nelson, Switchfoot, Mercy Me, Colton Dixon, and more. The band released their second EP, ‘Vandals’, in February of 2016. The Lasting Hope continued crafting their sound and in April of 2016, entered the studio with Jarrod Ingram and Blake Hubbard, formally of Royal Tailor. Through this process, the band has created a fresh pop/rock sound that is current and suitable for radio.

Kari Jobe’s new studio album, ‘The Garden’ to release in 2017

karijobethegarden
NASHVILLE, TENN. – GRAMMY-nominated and renowned worship leader Kari Jobe will release her third studio album titled The Garden on February 3, 2017. This album follows the highly acclaimed live project Majestic that produced the hit single “Forever” and “I Am Not Alone.” The Garden was written and recorded during a season of pain and loss for Jobe’s family.

“This album was written out of experiencing God’s closeness, goodness and mercy even through a season of great loss for my family,” shares Kari Jobe about the inspiration behind The Garden. “He can redeem any situation we are going through. I was reminded of His desire for intimate, real relationship with us like He had originally designed back in Garden of Eden. If we look up and around us, we will realize that God has been tending to the details of our hearts and souls throughout our entire lives. He is much like a gardener, knowing what to prune and what seeds to sow that will grow in due season and be life-giving to us. The Garden is all about seeing the beauty and kindness of God in the midst of the difficulties. He’s not distant or disconnected from our pain; in fact, He’s been right here the whole time, turning ashes into beauty.”

Working with producer Jeremy Edwardson (Jesus Culture, Hillsong UNITED, Jon Foreman), she also co-wrote with her husband and worship leader Cody Carnes, Brooke Fraser Ligertwood, Martin Smith, Jason Ingram and many other worship leader friends.

“I believe with all of my heart that we have been put on this earth for such a time as this – to fulfill God’s heart for mankind and bring salvation and hope to the world through the message of the cross of Jesus Christ,” she explains. “We are the church, and I pray that we would long for God’s presence to fall afresh on us and fill the atmosphere with His glory and wonder in greater measure. Let’s not stay in places of disappointment or offense when things don’t look like what we prayed for. Let’s lift our voices in faith. Let’s trust that He is good. Let’s stand united, singing as the bride Jesus is longing to return for so that His Kingdom would come and His will would be done on earth as it is in Heaven.”

Supporting this album, Jobe will be headlining her The Garden Tour with special guests Bryan & Katie Torwalt, Leeland and Jonathan David & Melissa Helser beginning February 23, 2017 through April 9.

The Brilliance to Unveil Hope-Filled, ‘All Is Not Lost’ Release

the-brilliance-to-unveil-hope
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In a world faced with suffering, division and hate, liturgical band The Brilliance is declaring that –
even still – All Is Not Lost, the title of their inspiring sophomore album, set to release January 27, 2017. The New York-based duo, comprised of David Gungor and John Arndt. writes songs for both the church and those feeling spiritually homeless. Their goal is to create music that gives voice to the pain and pleasure of the human experience, providing a sonic invitation that welcomes all people to live fully.

Colored through with intricate string arrangements, All Is Not Lost contains tracks packed with depth as the lyrics honestly tackle issues and struggles impacting culture today. The album features special guest Charles Jones, musical director for Andra Day, while David and John’s voices offer varying perspectives on faith and doubt.

The official video for the album’s single “See The Love,” an anthem of peace and understanding, fittingly released November 9, the day after the US presidential election. The song can be unlocked upon pre-ordering All Is Not Lost.

The Brilliance recently launched a podcast, diving into the making of All Is Not Lost, highlighting a different song each week. Recent special guests have included Savannah Guthrie (“TODAY”), Jon Huckins (The Global Immersion Project) and Mike McHargue (“Science Mike”), among others.

All Is Not Lost follows their debut album with Integrity Music, Brother, named Worship Leader’s No. 1 album of 2015.

About The Brilliance

New York-based liturgical band The Brilliance believes that art – in any form – is meant to be savored, experienced and relished. Composed of David Gungor and John Arndt, The Brilliance craft music with this belief in mind, giving listeners time and space to fully soak in the beauty that lies in every lyric and sonic nuance. The duo goes way back, having known each other since childhood and having played together in a variety of bands. Their critically-acclaimed Integrity Music debut, Brother, was a peacemaking opus that introduced the duo’s eloquent use of minimalism in the vein of Sufjan Stevens and Philip Glass to an audience beyond their faithful legion of fans who followed them during their years as an independent band. Worship Leader Magazine named the band’s label debut their No. 1 album pick in 2015. Their second label release All Is Not Lost will be available January 27, 2017.
