Grande Royale releases their third single “R’N’R Business”

Grande Royale is a rock’n’roll band from Jönköping, Sweden, who find their roots in the early 70’s rock scene of Detroit and the 90’s rock scene in Scandinavia, mixed up with some vintage pop. The music is straight forward rock’n’roll packed with electric guitars, melodic vocals and thundering bass lines.

Grande Royale releases their third single “R’N’R Business” from upcoming album ‘Breaking News’ to be released by the Sign Records on 25th of August. The bands new album is recorded with Nicke Andersson from the Helicopters and Imperial State Electric at the Honk Palace. A timeless sound and simple rock n roll songwriting makes “R’N’R Business” into a radio friendly feelgood rock n roll anthem. The riff works as gasoline for the song filled with screaming guitar solos and a catchy chorus that makes it stick. “R’N’R Business” is released on all digital platforms and as a video, filmed and edited by Nicke Sjöstedt. The band will tour mainland Europe in September.

With the release of “R’N’R Business” pre-order for the album is announced. The album is released on CD and Vinyl and as a bundle including t-shirt and patch. A limited run of 400 red vinyls is available through Freight Train.

Rainy Milo Shares Video for “Swimming On Me”

View Video Here.

“I’m so excited to share the first video from my new project ”I Knew I Had A Heart (Because I Felt It Breaking)” says Rainy. “When I was writing the treatment for the video I knew I wanted a visual that represented the reflection of a relationship gone wrong that is in the lyrics of the song and also the feelings of loneliness but knowing sometimes you have to go solo for the best.”

“This is my first project release since I was 17 and I’m so excited for my listeners to hear my growth musically. I see every project as a representation of moments in time for me and this EP is simply me documenting where I had been at the past couple of years, and is the opening chapter to my sophomore album out later this year.’

When asked about the single ‘Swimming On Me’, Milo spoke about where the unique song title and theme developed from; ‘”Swimming On Me” is one of the most “in my feelings” moments I think I’ve ever allowed myself to be on a track. I have so much love for this song for that reason, even though the foundation of the song itself was built on contempt and a very particular type of pain. One that I’m sure many people who hear this track will have felt before.”

6 tracks of hyper-modern jazz-influenced RnB, the EP is released, as ever, on Rainy’s own Limey Records.

At the beginning of March 2017 she was featured in the new Ad Campaign for LONDUNN + MISSGUIDED by super model Jourdan Dunn. Watch the ‘Introducing’ ad here featuring Rainy and you can also hear her sing part of her hit ‘Bout You.

Hannah Aldridge Shares Video For New Single, “No Heart Left Behind”

New album “Gold Rush” out in the UK on June 16 via Rootsy Music

July UK tour dates announced

About new album “Gold Rush”

In literature and in songwriting, the American South is where writers go to face their fears. Hannah Aldridge doesn’t just dip her pen into the well of the South, the Muscle Shoals native embodies it. With every song, she’s facing down demons of a life once lived from substance abuse to failed relationships and scars from the lashes of the bible belt.

“Gold Rush” is Hannah Aldridge’s second album, a follow up to her 2014 debut “Razor Wire.” While that album launched her career, drew the attention of music writers and sent her touring across the world, “Gold Rush” shows a more mature and introspective artist with more life experience – and music experience – under her belt.

The honesty Hannah Aldridge crafts into each track is off-set by her stubborn, maybe defiant, nature, which gives her music a hopeful silver lining.

“I start writing with ‘this is how I’m feeling and I need to talk about it.’ Doing that helps me sort out my own thoughts on it. My music is an introspective look at the things that happened in my life. It’s me trying to sort through and put feelings into words,” she said.

Hannah Aldridge is the daughter of Muscle Shoals legend Walt Aldridge. An Alabama Music Hall of Famer, Walt Aldridge is a prolific and decorated songwriter of countless Number One and Top Ten hits recorded by the likes of Lou Reed, Reba McEntire, Travis Tritt, Earl Thomas Conley, Ricky Van Shelton, Ronnie Milsap, and Conway Twitty.

Mixing her personal life and the sounds of her hometown, Hannah Aldridge’s new album also draws in influences from across the rock genre. Working with people with one foot in country music and one foot in rock, Hannah Aldridge makes a fresh kind of Southern Rock styled by Southern Gothic storytelling. You can hear it in “Gold Rush”’s ode to burning out, or in the yearning of “Burning Down Birmingham”, and anthem-for-the-lonely “No Heart Left Behind” – a track that is shot-through with wild riffs.

Recorded at Creative Workshop in Nashville, Hannah Aldridge worked with Muscle Shoals writers such as Mark Naramore, Tosha Hill, Matt Johnson and Brad Crisler and artists such as Andrew Combs, Ashley McBryde, Don Gallardo, Ryan Beaver, and Sadler Vaden on “Gold Rush.” She teamed up with Jordan Dean and M. Allen Parker, who were instrumental in working on her new album, and finally finishing by calling on her Dad, Walt Aldridge, to master the record. In total, Hannah Aldridge compiled a team of distinct talents to work with her. With their help, Hannah Aldridge has put together a progressive, creative and memorable body of work.

“It’s about being self-destructive,” Aldridge said of her new album. “That is the underlying tone. The album goes back to when I was younger, and after touching on that, to now. In ‘Aftermath,’ the very first line is: ‘I was born in a crossfire.’ It starts from day one.”

Hannah Aldridge tours the UK in July

Sugarchild “Nothing” Single

90s Indie darlings Sugarchild are back with an album of dark, sparkling and utterly contemporary rock songs. The new album Dangerous sees the band delivering on its early promise with themes and tunes for the current age. Dangerous is set to shock and awe with epic guitars and vocals that switch between sweet and menacing.

Sugarchild’s prestigious history dates back to when the band were teenagers in the 1990s. A staple live act of the time, Sugarchild supported Jebediah’s national ‘Animal’ Tour, as well as Pollyanna, Effigy, The Rosemary Beads and many more. The band played at Fremantle’s Millennium concert to 20,000 people. They have received airplay on Triple J, RTRFM, RRR and independent radio around Australia, and been profiled in Rolling Stone and national street press.

In 2016, Sugarchild enlisted drummer Tim Jewell, formerly of Humbug, to record an album with Dave Parkin at Blackbird Studios. Dangerous showcases a band finally delivering on its early potential. With themes running the gamut of the zombie apocalypse, suicide in faraway places, the love-rush of parenthood and racism in Australian society, Dangerous is truly an album for our time, delivered by a band who have waited 20 years to make their masterpiece.

Lead single, ‘Nothing’, is about finding yourself in a situation where you may not feel ready for the adversity that you face, but there is no choice but to step up and take on the challenge. It’s about being ready to fight regardless of the outcomes – “I won’t be bleeding for nothing.” Essentially, it’s a song about finding your own strength even when you haven’t got it.

Singer and songwriter Katie Attwell described channeling the character Rick Grimes from the dark post-zombie apocalypse TV drama, The Walking Dead. “He’s a character I love to embody. As a woman in a patriarchal society, a feeling of absolute power is something I don’t get to experience in my day to day life.”

‘Nothing’ is a punchy, throbbing rock song that takes no prisoners! Driven by fuzzed up phat bass, with fierce guitars and big riffs, this song has a rolling energy. The strong vocals give weight to the solid musicianship and drive the theme of the song home: “We won’t be bleeding for nothing, we won’t be pleading for nothing.”

Jimmy Sisco’s 3 Song Acoustic EP Series

Recently released was Jimmy Sisco’s contribution to the 3 Song Acoustic EP series. As the singer/ guitarist/ songwriter for ABSOLVED and Platoon 1107, Jimmy has released some of the biggest, most aggressive music on Thumper Punk Records. For his 3 Song Acoustic EP, the music is delicate, balanced and soulful, with one track of 70s era folk and two readings of Old Testament scripture over ambient backgrounds. The first song “Son of the Wind” was written by country-western artist Jim Sisco, Sr., in 1970, and recorded by his son Jimmy in the days prior to his father’s death from cancer. Recorded from the most sincere and loving place in one’s heart, Son of the Wind is a tribute to a son’s love for his father.

Chapters One and Two of The Book of Haggai were recited from the King James Version. These songs present experimental ambient soundscapes below the sounds of Biblical text recitation. This is not Holy Scripture set to music…this is music set to Holy Scripture.

Track listing:

1. Son of the Wind
2. The Book of Haggai: Chapter One
3. The Book of Haggai: Chapter Two

Available as limited edition 7″ vinyl from the TPR webstore (http://thumperpunkrecords.storenvy.com) and for digital download on iTunes, AmazonMP3, and from all the usual suspects. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Jimmy Sisco.

The 3 Song Acoustic series features a monthly EP release from legends, friends and artists involved with the JCHC scene.

Tami, “The Sugar Shack” Single

“My hope is that everyone can find their own strength and listen to their voice.” – Tami

Indeed. With her debut album, Velvet & Steel, Tami brings experience, strength and grace to a body of work that exemplifies woman empowerment. “This album is a journey. A journey of my soul,” says Tami.

A vulnerable masterpiece that is the result of a complex, adventurous and a fulfilling range of life experiences, taking you on a passage of soulful songs, nodding towards great eras and artists. She is a power- ful voice packed in a small feminine package that speaks to a broad range of generations.

When renowned songwriting legend, Bobby Braddock (who has penned 13 number one songs throughout his career) and Tami began to select songs, she insisted that none of the songs should have a message about “being a victim.”

That passion resulted in the heralding anthem, “Strong Woman”, written by Brad- dock, opens the album. A song that encompasses Tami’s powerful message with funky, rock conviction. The track sets the tone for an album that speak to today’s cultural and global topics.

As a single mother, survivor of domestic abuse in a short marriage, cancer and witnessing the human condition first hand through world travel and personal experience gives Tami a humble perspective. “I try to speak with grace, always,” Tami says. “There are so many issues right now that are so important – not only women’s rights, but human rights all together. I know who I am and can speak strongly.”

The first single,“The Sugar Shack” – is a call for love to return, not through tears but with confidence as the lyrics states,

“She ain’t as tasty as my sugar.” As an addition to the single, Award-winning dance music producer, Tracy Young, delivers a driving remix sure to be a sweet summer 2017 dance-floor hit.

The path to love is not always conventional as evident on in the tongue and cheek track, “Ready to be Rescued.”

Written by Deborah Allen and her co-writers Rafe Van Hoy/Kenny Greenberg, the message is clear that its a woman’s place sometimes in making the moves and saying, “Come get me—on my terms.”

Tami’s music is an expression of stepping into life’s learning experiences. Whether on the legendary Jimmy Reed’s “Honest I Do,” Joe Bonamassa’s “Bridge to Better Days” or The Cure’s “Love Song” she taps into the diverse influences and the relevant messages that made her the artist she is today.

Tami grew up in a small northwestern town in Oklahoma. There was no shortage of music growing up in her home. Her father had a collection of over 5,000 records, which she eventually inherited. While her father gave her the gift of music it was her mother that was her adviser, trusted friend, philosopher, and always encouraged her to follow her dreams.

Packing a suitcase of dreams, Tami moved to Nashville where her music journey began and was em- braced by some of music row’s top producers and songwriters.

In 2010, she and her husband seized a business opportunity with a move to the Far East. The move proved life changing by learning to live, communicate and survive in cold Northern China. She fell in love with the Asian culture and people. It was there she explored her passion for jazz. She quickly became the “American Jazz Singer” performing at the last emperors hotel in a room rich with leather chairs, smoke and bourbon.

Eventually a club owner spotted her and opened up a club especially for her named, Jazz Spot. Upon vacationing in the neighboring country, Tami discovered the lively Blues and Soul club, ‘Oodie’s Place’ on the beautiful island of Koh-Chang-Thailand.

“It was there, where I started looking at my life, the impact on how far I had come. physically and emotionally. I realized my strength and that I really had this strength all along. I finally understood that I could do anything. Love myself and be intertwined in the music which I loved. The music that could make a hu- man connection even with people who don’t speak the same language.”

A special moment on the album comes with ”Fly On” – an uplifting gift written by her son, Saxon. Tami sings it to him and for others as a inspiring reminder to never quit and keep pushing onward and shine through your inner strength.

The album concludes with “Maybe Someday.” The hopeful anthem about loving and accepting each other that was written 50 years ago and remains just as, if not more so, poignant today.

“We must remember we are able to have a voice in today’s world. Sometimes it seems like it’s dwindling back, but we have to keep that passion going and to keep having the conversation. I’m proud to be able to do that because there was a time when we couldn’t. We need to notice love and how others live their lives—if they’re suffering or are in pain,”

Tami says. “I want to matter. I want to make my existence worthwhile,” Tami says.

“My goal is to create awareness of humanity with love, kindness and human rights. Hopefully I can use my voice to do that.”

-Tami

Romes Release New Track and Music Video

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW YORK, NY, April 2017- Toronto quartet ROMES release new track “Someone” via Five Seven Music across all digital platforms. The two parts Irish, two parts Canadian alt-pop band also released an official music video for “Someone,” filmed entirely on a GoPro camera via Earmilk. The track is featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday.

“‘Someone’ is about how anxiety triggers feelings of insecurity and cripples your ability to convey your emotions. It was written at a time when I felt lost and alone. I had a strong desire to be with someone but couldn’t bring myself to express how I felt, knowing that if I did, it would be too late. — Jacob Alexander, ROMES

Following “Deja Vu”, “Someone” is the second new track to release off ROMES’ upcoming self-titled album, out later this year. Featured in Alternative Press’ 17 Artists to Watch in 2017, ROMES kicked off the new year with a timely reimagining of the The Who’s 1960’s anthem,”My Generation.” The track follows the release of their impressive 2016 debut EP Believe, known for its empowering title track as well as acclaimed track “Tryna Be.”

“The inspiration for the ‘Someone’ video came from the centriphone idea conceptualized by Nicolas Vuignier. I figured it’d be cool to build a rig and go to some spots around Toronto and replicate the effect with us and a GoPro. On the very first shot of the day, the camera, flying around at 30mph, flew into Jacob’s face and bust open his gums. That’s the final clip you see in the video. I think he now has a fear of helicopters.” – Nick Amadeus, ROMES

ROMES is comprised of Jacob Alexander (vocals) and Nicolas Amadeus (drums), Andrew Keyes (bass) and James Tebbitt (guitar). The childhood friends met while attending school in Ireland, connecting over their mutual passion for rock music and undeniable chemistry as musicians. Perfecting their inimitable sound since their adolescent years, ROMES effortlessly documents true emotion in their songs while accenting each member’s personalities to create irresistible, eclectic music.
